FAQ’s for the 2007 SRC – 4/11/06

 

Q. What is the SRC?

A. The SRC is a partnership between the North American Retail Dealers Association (NARDA), the United Servicers Association (USA), and the Electronics Technicians Association, International (ETA). These three organizations will combine their 2007 convention and educational institutes into a larger single event.  The inaugural 2006 SRC attracted over 437 independent retailer, service business operators and educators and offered a selection of technical and business management training sessions, along with a trade show of products and services. The 2007 SRC will be held at the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel  in Las Vegas, Nevada, February 25-27, 2007.

 

Q.  Who should attend the SRC?

A.  Retail & Service Business Owners, Service Managers, Technical Educators, Service Technicians, Retailers with Service Departments, Retail & Service Managers, Students attending technical training, Companies who provide product and support services to the Retail, Service & Technical Industry.

 

Q.  If I bring more than one member of my staff is there an additional discount on registration?

A.  All registrations are at the same rate. Early Bird registration is the best value.  Register by December 31 and Association Members save 50%.

 

Q.  What are the hotel rates and how do I book my room?

A. Due to the large number of registrations, the SRC room block at the Flamingo Hotel with an $89 room rate has been SOLD OUT. There are still rooms available at the Flamingo at other rates. If you want to stay at another hotel, please utilize the internet to find the best possible rates. If you prefer to stay at the Flamingo Hilton, please call reservations at 800-732-2111 and use SRC Group Code: SFFAS7.

 

Q. Does the SRC have a special airline rate or offer?

A.  Please consult your travel agent or the many online services to secure the best airline rates.

  

Q.  What types of technical training, professional development or management sessions might I expect to attend at SRC?

A. World class customer service, fiber optics, appliance and electronic manufacturer service updates, broadband VoIP, interpersonal skills, Certified Service Centers, wireless communications, satellite training, financial management, sales skills, leadership and business management education.

 

Q. If I belong to one of the sponsoring associations will I be able to attend any of the other associations’ sessions?

A. All sessions will be open to all attendees on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Some classes will have less availability than others; please don’t wait to register.  Classes fill up quickly.

 

Q.  What special events will be part of the SRC?

A.  ETA, NARDA and USA will each conduct member, board and committee meetings. Attendees will be able to participate in combined evening social events and meet with suppliers of products and services during the trade show portion of the SRC.

A.  The SRC will offer the industry’s broadest and best-of-class technical and business management training, plus a trade show featuring a wide array of products and services.
