About Us NARDA, USA and ETA Announce Plans for 2007 Service & Retail Convention (SRC)
Las Vegas, Nevada, June 14, 2006
Building off of a successful first-time event in 2006, The North American Retail Dealers Association (NARDA), the United Servicers Association (USA), and the Electronics Technicians Association, International (ETA) will hold the 2007 Service & Retail Convention (SRC), February 25-27, 2007 at the Flamingo Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas, Nev.
Jon Gordon, a nationally acclaimed speaker, author and management expert who is known as "America's #1 Energy Coach," will deliver the opening keynote address. Gordon is a pioneer in the field of Energy Coaching-an integrative approach that blends positive psychology, emotional intelligence, nutrition, exercise and bio-energy fields to enhance health, happiness, professional success, and athletic performance. Gordon’s innovative strategies have produced life changing and career enhancing results. Gordon has been featured nationally on NBC's Today Show, CNN's American Morning Show and in dozen of publications, web sites and radio stations across the U.S and Canada.
The 2007 SRC will offer attendees more than 65 best-of-class business management and cutting-edge technology technical training sessions along with an expanded trade show of products and services. “In 2006 over 400 independent retail & service business operators, educators, technicians and more than 50 exhibitors attended the first SRC which was formed to provide a premier and unique, educational/networking experience, while reducing the number of industry events”, said Tom Drake, NARDA president and CEO.
Dick Glass, ETA's president adds, “The 2007 SRC will not only offer great value but it will not conflict with any other industry events. Unlike other trade associations, we took great care to not schedule at the same time as buying group shows and other industry programs. The goal of the SRC is to better serve our members though more industry cooperation among associations”.
According to USA Board president, Paul MacDonald, “While the SRC has more sleeping rooms and meeting space than in 2006, my advice is to take advantage of the SRC Early Bird registration discount and register before the deadline of December 31, 2006. We listened to attendee feedback and designed the 2007 program to have more class options and one less day in the program so attendees will save money and spend one less day away from their business. The 2007 SRC will again offer great value”.
Sponsors are eagerly stepping forward to support this the 2007 SRC with AP Wagner, Direct Energy, Mitsubishi and ServicePower being first to commit. “After exhibiting and participating in the 2006 SRC, ServicePower experienced better relationships with its service and dealer partners and was able to improve its product set after feedback from the participants. The results were brand awareness, better relationships and a better product”, said Chris Smith, ServicePower CEO.
